Doug Bennett videotapes the Captain Scott house as it is moved to a farm field on the first leg of its journey to a new location. The Italianate house, built c. 1870 in Alexandria, Ohio, for Union soldier and abolitionist Joseph Scott, was scheduled for demolition for a divided four-lane highway until a grassroots group came up with enough money to move it. Bennett is the great-great-grandson of Scott. The Captain Scott house is moved from adjacent to Route 161 location to Alexandria to make way for a new interchange.
